The Business Processing Associate/Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing and processing payroll for clients across various industries. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, while adhering to company policies and government regulations. The Payroll Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of client payroll, addressing inquiries, and ensuring compliance with all payroll-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll processing for clients across various industries, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement.
  • Process and verify employee attendance, overtime, deductions, and other payroll-related data, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.
  • Prepare and review payroll reports, tax filings, and other statutory reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Address inquiries from clients regarding payroll discrepancies, adjustments, and benefits, providing timely resolutions.
  •  Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and safeguard sensitive data.
  • Collaborate with the client’s HR, Accounting, or Finance teams to ensure that deductions, benefits, and compensation are accurately reflected in payroll.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, labor regulations, and payroll compliance requirements to ensure adherence.
  • Assist in payroll audits and ensure that payroll-related documents are properly filed and maintained in an organized manner.
  • Prepare payroll summaries, reports, and other necessary documentation for management and client review.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned to support the smooth operation of payroll processing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/College Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • At least a year of experience in payroll processing or a similar role, with a strong understanding of payroll systems and tax regulations. .
  • Familiarity with payroll calculations, deductions, benefits, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office (Excel, Word).
  • Knowledge of labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll compliance standard.
  • Ability to handle multiple payroll cycles and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to address client concerns and resolve payroll issues.
